Tech-English!!

When I was in high school, my Valencian teacher used to upload the information of the unit in a Blog. She used Wordpress. I remember that, as it was innovative, my classmates and I were really interested. In my opinion, blogs are really important in today's world since it gives you and your students great opportunities to learn through different ways. I teach English in supportive lessons and I use different blogs that  provide me useful material. One of this blogs is Valme's English Corner (http://valmeenglishcorner.blogspot.com.es/). It is a blog written by an English teacher. She uses blogspot and she uploads information related with the unit for their students, but also teacher resources. It's really helpful!!

Taking into account the different sites, I prefer the sites created by Drupal. I think that Drupal is very organised as well as attractive. This is why, IES Enric Soler i Rigodes (www.iesenricsolerigodes.com/drupal/) presents a website that shows the main ideas of your high school in a clear way. It is essential not only to captivate the attention of the students and their parents, but also to access to the site easily. What I like the most is that this page is really simple, therefore, for those parents who are not good at technology, it is really easy to enter to the section of webfamilia (itaca).

Joomla! is defined as "a free and open-source content management system (CMS) for publishing web content." It is a famous website that provides a variety of permissions to manage content, data or information of a website project, or intranet application. As an English philologist, I think I need to remark that Joomla is a multilingual platform that offers more than 70 languages. Joomla is really popular not only because it is free, but also because this webpage contains interesting features such as: personalize your webpage, the use of different templates, articles management, etc. One of the best options that offers this webpages is that you can add extensions. I studied English Studies at the University of Alicante, and now, I am studying a master's degree in Education, for this reason, my idea is to teach English in Secondary Education as well as in Bachillerato. In this master, I am studying the different methodologies we can use for teaching English and which are the most effective.
