According to the theory we have learned, Corpora are compilations of oral and written texts that try to offer an accurate spectrum of the use of a language in a diversity of situations. I have looked up the typical expression 'in relation to' on the corpora of Linguee (https://www.linguee.es/)and of the British National Corpus (https://corpus.byu.edu/). The British National Corpus Linguee (parallel corpora) As we all know, translate literally is not a good way to write, in this case, English, because each language has its own syntax. These types of dictionaries give us the opportunity to structure some expressions. Nevertheless, we have to select which is the best translation depending on the context. I recommend both corpora since I think they can help you to write and use new expressions. Thesaurus is a dictionary to look for the synonyms and the antonyms of words. This dictionary should be a compulsory tool for English students because it is really helpful to improve and enrich your vocabulary. The first time I used Thesaurus in high school was to look for synonyms of the word 'important' since I used to repeat the word in all my writings. For this reason, I have chosen the word 'important' in this entry. I have obtained the following information: a list of synonyms, a list of antonyms and more words related to the word 'important'. But... How can you choose the  right word? This dictionary gives you the opportunity to order the words in different ways according to the relevance, the complexity, the length, the informality of the words. A good way to compare dictionaries is choosing a word and compare the definitions. Therefore, the word I have chosen to compare the definition in different dictionaries is MALICIOUS, since it is my favourite word in English. These are the three dictionaries: Oxford, Mirriam-Webster and WordReference. Hi everyone!! Technology is essential in nowadays society, therefore, it should be included in classrooms. This is why I have chosen this video because it shares the ideas I have about technology in Education. In addition, I think it is really creative since it is made in Powtoon, a website used for creating animated presentations and animated explainer videos. The video presents clearly five main advantages of technology in Education: Technology promotes independent learning for students, it is an easy tool to access to information, it encourages students to learn, students can increase their critical thinking through the net and technology prepares students for the future. Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog! I’m very new to this whole blog thing! My name is Marta and I'm twenty-two years old, I live in Castalla a small city of Alicante (Spain), and I've finished my degree in English Studies at the University of Alicante.
